Decorated Black Widow

This is a very interesting Black Widow spider (Latrodectus mactans). Most of these in the SE are jet gloss black with the "hourglass" on it's underside being the only red coloration. In this particular specimen (female), the red is on the underside in an hourglass shape as usual, but it also continues as a pattern of rounded shapes up and around the top of the abdomen. Not only that, but the shapes on the topside of the abdomen are also encircled by a silver ring! Look close and you'll see it!
